If I want to use sensors, does it matter which country I'm based in?

Yes, it does. As each country or region has its own radio frequency requirements, we will send you hardware that meets these requirements, based on your location.

What's the operating temperature range for the sensors?

Please refer to your sensor's manual for information on operating temperature range.

Do I need Wi-Fi for sensors to work?

No, gateways and sensors connect via LoRaWAN, 3G, and 4G connections.

Where can I access sensors in Mitti?

As long as you have the "Sensors: Manage" or "Sensors: Access" permission , you can access sensors from both the web app and the mobile app. Web app Log in to the web app . Select in the sidebar or in . Mobile app Open the mobile app. Tap at the lower-right corner of your screen. Select from the list of options.

Can I add public data feeds to my Sensors dashboard?

We support temperature, humidity, and wind readings as part of weather data feeds powered by AccuWeather. We plan to support more weather types soon, so if there is a particular weather type you'd want to see, please let us know by providing your feedback .

What types of sensors do you offer?

How do I request additional sensors?

If you're an existing sensors customer, please reach out to your local Mitti contact. Otherwise, get in touch if you're interested in finding out more about our sensors solutions.

How many sensors can I have per gateway?

One gateway can support multiple sensors. We recommend that no more than 30 sensors are connected to a single gateway to ensure reliable data transmission.

How will I know when a sensor's batteries need to be replaced?

You can set up sensor alerts to notify you when a sensor's batteries need to be replaced. On average, sensor batteries should last around two years. Typically, you should receive two months' notice before a sensor's batteries fully discharge.

Why doesn't the USB-C port on the Standard Temperature & Humidity Sensor work for charging?

The USB-C port on the Standard Temperature & Humidity Sensor is designed specifically for device setup and configuration, and not intended for charging. You can power the sensor using the designated batteries instead.

Will I lose data if my sensors or gateway are offline?

No, your sensors will continue to capture readings and transmit them to Mitti once they're back online. We recommend that you reconnect your sensors and gateway within three days to prevent data loss.

If there is a power outage at my site, will my gateway or sensor be affected?

No, your sensors will continue to capture readings and transmit them to Mitti once they're back online.

Can I export my sensor data?

Yes, you can. Learn how to export sensor data to CSV from both the web app and the mobile app.

Why calibrate my sensor device?

Calibrating your sensor device allows you to adjust or offset its readings, ensuring that the data you receive in Mitti is more accurate and reliable. Learn how to calibrate sensor devices .

Can I send sensor alerts to users outside of my organization?

No, you can't. Sensor alerts can only be sent to users within your organization.

What are sensor escalations?

Sensor escalations are a way to notify other team members when an alert remains active for a certain period.
